St John's has a strong musical tradition which forms an important part of our worship, with a robed choir that supports the main Sunday service.

Regular musical concerts are arranged, with performances from various local talent taking place in the church on a monthly basis.


If you like to sing then why not join a choir.

At St John's we have a robed choir led by our musical director and church organist, Colin. The choir sing as part of the main Sunday service and other special events. Alternatively, if you are just looking to sing on a casual basis and would just like to join in at choir practice you'll be very welcome.

Choir practice is on a Thursday evening in the church at 6:30pm. If you would like more information, please contact our musical director, Colin Noble or just turn up on Thursday evening for choir practice.


Our monthly concerts have proved to be a great success and include a wide variety of performers including classical pianist, big band, brass band, several choirs to name a few.

These wonderful evenings of listening to live music or singing is usually for a minimum donation of £7.
